New Delhi: A house keeping staff of a private school in south Delhi has been arrested for raping a six-year-old girl on Wednesday afternoon. Reports say that the accused, who had joined the school three months ago, committed the crime when the class I student had gone to the girl’s washroom inside the school on Wednesday afternoon.
As per the complaint of the parents of the minor, the girl returned home from school at 2.30 pm and narrated the incident to her mother. Following this, the parents reached the school and informed the principal about the matter, after which the police were called.
As per the child’s father, the woman employee, who was supposed to assist children, was not in the washroom when the incident happened. “After using the washroom, my daughter called the woman for help but, the male employee entered and sexually assaulted her,” the minor’s father said.
The child was rushed to AIIMS where the doctors confirmed that she had been raped. As per a report, doctors told the girl’s parents that the internal wounds of girl will be treated only after a surgery. A case of rape and under sections of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) was registered.
The shocking incident comes a few days after a 7-year-old boy, Pradyuman Thakur, was killed inside the toilet of Ryan International School in Gurugram allegedly by a bus conductor.
