Runway incursion at Delhi airport averted as tail of Srinagar-bound Jet Airways flight hits another plane

New Delhi: At the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi a major mishap was averted on Sunday after the tail of a Jet Airways flight hit wings of another flight. As per the sources, the planes were about to collide at the runway.
The tail of Patna-bound flight as per Hindustan Times hit the wings of another flight waiting for instructions from ATC (Air Traffic Controller) to fly to Srinagar. Sanjay Bhatia, DCP airport said that in the incident there were no injuries. Also, officials of the airport have ordered an inquiry into the matter.
The incident took place at 3.20 pm.
